Dates
[edit]Other online sources give his date of birth as July 15, 1925 and his death as May 2, 1969 (or sometimes 1968). Researching and elaborating on primary sources may help readers. (i. e., anyone have access to Detroit obituary pages from the late '60s?) --Dystopos (talk) 19:55, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
- The most reliable sources agree on July 15, 1925, and his death as April 20, 1969. This includes the military veteran headstone application made (on May 2, 1969 - probably where the error crept in) by his widow, Lillian V. Benjamin. I've amended the article accordingly. Most of the sources giving his birth date as July 25 probably got their information from this article. Findagrave, incidentally, is even more unreliable than usual in this instance and it would be best not to link to it at all here. Ghmyrtle (talk) 12:52, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
Death Reference
[edit]The reference to Benjamin's death was not HIS death, it was Uriel's death. That should be removed, but I won't touch it. Truthwriter4real (talk) 15:46, 10 April 2023 (UTC)
